Raquel D. Jex Joins the Ranks of Leading Professionals

ROSEVILLE, CA, August 24, 2009 /Pharmaceutical PR News/ -- Raquel D. Jex, Director of Marketing and Business Development, Wine Societies, Inc., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication to her vision, leadership of teams, and excellence in pharmaceutical marketing and drug development.
With over 12 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and scientific field, Ms. Jex excels in oncology marketing and drug development. In her previous roles as Vice President Strategic Planning and Director of Marketing she was responsible for overseeing teams and creating marketing, portfolio, promotional and tactical strategies for numerous brands marketed in the United States, Europe, and Asia. Ms. Jex will bring those same business planning, marketing skillsets, and people management commitment to leading Wine Societies, Inc. into recognized value creation in the wine industry. She attributes her success to her loyal and honest mentors, personal drive, integrity and relationship values.
Ms. Jex received her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a focus in Microbiology from Idaho State University in 1995. She began pursuing a Master of Science in Pharmacology that same year. She holds a certification in Executive Negotiation from Harvard University and certifications in Coaching for Impact, Leadership and Situational Leadership, and Senior Product Management. Ms. Jex has now just added to her pharmaceutical certifications, a recently obtained first certification in Wine Studies from the Culinary Institute of America Rudd Center in Napa, California.
She has served as an advisory board member of the Industry Council of the American College of Chest Physicians, American Society of Hematology, and the American Society for Clinical Oncology. In 2004, she was nominated to the Pfizer Marketing Talent and Management Team and was honored with the Pfizer Marketing Excellence Award the same year. She is a recipient of the Top 10 Percent of Sales Representatives Award for 1999 and 2000. Among her other awards are the Sales Premier Award (1999), the Glyset Drive for Performance Award (2000), the Excellence Award for Exceptional Quality Performance (1996-1998) and the Award for Scientific Excellence in Microbial Corrosion from Lockheed Martin Idaho Nuclear.
