Lloyd A. Kellum parlays a successful business career into running his own senior care facility
BATTLE CREEK, MI, June 21, 2010 /Pharmaceutical PR News/ -- Lloyd A. Kellum, President of Creekside Living Center, LLC and President Emeritus of Central States Consulting, Inc., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in residential healthcare and consulting.
A successful businessman for 27 years, Lloyd A. Kellum ventured into senior care in 1999, inspired by his experiences caring for his mother, who suffered from Alzheimer's disease. He has since parlayed his business acumen into operating Creekside Living Center. Marked by a commitment to serving the elderly in all aspects and making their care as stress-free for their families as possible, Mr. Kellum runs a tight unit that offers exercise and companionship services to its residents, who are given the opportunity to choose their own activities. They also assist residents with administering medication and handling their finances and bills.
Prior to opening Creekside, Mr. Kellum was at the helm of Central States Consulting, a consultancy that specializes in the safety and quality control of fuel lines and the sale of equipment and parts. He ran the company for almost three decades - catering to an impressive client list that included NASA and the United States military - until he decided to heed a second calling in senior care. He sold Central States and established his residential healthcare facility shortly thereafter. Mr. Kellum derives deep personal fulfillment from helping families avoid the suffering that his own family had endured, and attributes the success that he found in this new endeavor to his drive to excel.
Mr. Kellum is a member of the Michigan Assisted Living Association and a former member of the American Polygraph Association. He earned a polygraph certification in 1972 from Texas A&M University.
