Virginia French Recognized for Excellence in Pharmaceutical Medicine
Virginia French has served as an institutional review board director for the Wichita Medical Research and Education Foundation
WICHITA, KS, August 19, 2011 /Pharmaceutical PR News/ -- Virginia 'Ginger' French, Consultant, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in pharmaceutical medicine.
With 34 years of professional experience, Dr. French is recognized as an expert in clinical pharmacy and human rights protection. She currently serves as a consultant, aiding her clients with a wide range of pharmaceutical issues. Dr. French has performed in the capacity of institutional review board director for the Wichita Medical Research and Education Foundation, a medical research and education center for nearly eleven years. She is certified by two associations for competence in IRB Management. In recognition of her work, Dr. French was named a Professional of the Year in Pharmaceutical Medicine by Cambridge Who's Who in 2010. She attributes her success to her hard work, love of the work, and determination.
Before becoming IRB Director at WMREF, Dr. French served in several pharmacy positions for 32 years at Wesley Medical Center. She has lectured nationally for IRB associations. Dr. French also opened the pharmacy department at the new Charter Hospital of Wichita and served as Director of Pharmacy for five and a half years.
Dr. French earned a Pharm.D. from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 1978. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in pharmacy. Her professional affiliations include the Kansas Society of Health-System Pharmacists, Public Responsibility in Medicine and Research, the Kansas Pharmacists Association, the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, the American Pharmacists Association, and the National Association of IRB Managers.
